Gran and Papa Visit!

Gran and Papa Barrett came yesterday by my request to watch Bailee so Dave and I could go on a date to the temple. It was a surprise to Dave that I had planned since Tuesday! We loved going to the Sacramento temple. It was our first time and we were right next to it about a week ago getting our brakes fixed in the car and had no idea! The temple is so beautiful and we were due for a visit :) My parents were so excited to come and play with Bailee and visit us. We taught them our new favorite game, Mexican dominoes.

One day she will get a proper ride on the bike but for now she can just sit on it with them :)

She loves getting their 100% attention while they are here and they love giving it!

Loves her Papa
Went to an awesome place called Letherby's for lunch and had this AWESOME sundae afterward and are still full from it!

We loved having my parents here! Dave and I even got an extra nap this morning while they took Bailee out for a walk :)

Settling down feels so good!

We are finally in our own place and it is getting in order. A much slower process with Bailee around but it is getting there and we just take advantage of her down time to organize and establish our new home :) Bailee had her first set of vaccines last Friday which made for a stressful weekend of moving in with an unhappy baby. We learned that the doctor prescribed her a minimal dose of tylenol so she was toughing out those shots on her own :( She did really well getting them and is now back to her normal smiley self!
I have added a whole load of pictures since we have been here and there for the past little while... some are older than others but it is crazy to see how much she has grown in just a month!
She LOVES LOVES LOVES her swing! It is entertaining just watching her fascination with the little ball that rolls back and forth as songs are played. Once it stops she has even cried for us to turn it back on and once we do she gets a huge grin and throws her arms around in excitement!

prefers to eat her clothes :)

It is so amazing to see how she looks at Jesus. I showed her the picture again yesterday and she just got really still and looked at it in a way that was a very obvious sign of connectedness... i can't fully explain it but I know she knows who he is because she was with him not too long ago :)

Shots :(

Today Bailee had her first round of her 2 month shots. She cried right when the stuck her with the needle but it wasn't long! She did so well :) She is now weighing 13 lbs and is 23 inches long and we are loving watching her changes each day! She rolled over for Dave the other day but it took quite the effort. I was at my internship, which can be hard being gone, but I am so glad Dave gets the opportunity to spend time with her while she is little because he will likely not have the same experience with any of the other children we have in the future. Dave is so great with her and I am so grateful to have him in my life for eternity :)

The Internship begins!

I started my internship this week and I just have to say Dave is SO WONDERFUL!! Of course I already knew this but I am finding it fascinating how my love for him can grow by me being the one working right now. My internship began on Monday so it has only been 3 days. Dave has had patience with Bailee and has been so good about helping me get out the door in the morning! I am not much of a fan of the California commuting environment but I love the work that I get to do! I have learned so much about the almond business in the past few days from Blue Diamond as well as a lot about the business world in general. I never would have guessed I would be in this environment for work but I love it! Then I get to come home to an awesome and handsome husband who I love so much! I also am blessed to come home to a beautiful daughter who is developing more and more everyday :) I am so grateful for my life. It may be busy without very much sleep but the Lord has blessed me tremendously and I am so grateful! Oh and it is a free day at the zoo on monday so we will be there! LOVE free day at the zoo!

Today Dave sent this picture to me when I was about to leave work to come home :)

The beginning of a new stage

This was at our apartment in Rexburg and my mom happened to catch a smiley pic of Bailee. Too bad I had yet to get ready that day!

She snuggled right up to Dave's armpit which was too cute!

Finally taking to a pacifier, but only this type. She doesn't like the ones from the hospital so thankfully Leslie thought to try out these.
We are officially in Sacramento now but won't be in our new apartment for 3 more weeks. We are staying at the home of a friend's brother who only uses the house a couple of times a month! It has been so relaxing and nice to have a place to ourselves for a bit. Bailee is growing so fast and I cant believe she will be 2 months next week! She is smiling a lot now and we love getting up with her in the morning just to watch her smile and laugh. She is getting more active and almost rolling over. It is fun to watch her change each and every day!
This is Bailee's latest pic at the house we are staying at. She loves having some time laying on the ground just looking around at everything.

our precious little girl

Here are just a few pictures of SO many that have already been taken of Bailee in just a month of life :) I have been terrible at posting with the end of school and packing all last week but hope to be better now. We love our little girl so much and she has brought us so much joy already.

movement, movement, movement!

So I am at the stage when I feel Bailee more often than not and I still am not sick of it :) I love knowing that she is moving and alive in there and I get to feel her little body parts all over my tummy! I went to the doctor yesterday and learned that her head is right on my bladder, which explains my frequent visits to the bathroom. I have been riding my bike to school and it feels so good to be able to be active with my tummy being so big. Today was especially nice with the temperature outside being in the high 60's which might as well be 90 for Rexburg. It was a beautiful day and I may have overdone my activity a little bit by going walking with a couple of ladies from my ward for an hour and a half as well as my bike ride to and from class. I love a productive day, especially when it involves being outside in the sun :)
As for David, he is doing pretty well. Working hard to keep up with all of his classes and is excited for his frisbee team which will start up within the next couple of weeks.
