Dave's pumpkin patch!

We went with our friends, the Hudson's, to a place called Dave's pumpkin patch today and had lots of fun! We had a pancake breakfast, Bailee and Sienna played in a corn pit, rode ponies, watched the punkin' chunkin', corn maze, and picked out pumpkins! It was a beautiful day and we are so glad we went :) I would say Bailee's favorite was definitely the pony ride. She kept laughing and smiling while she rode and didn't want to get off at the end! We got pretty lost in the corn maze ending up in the haunted portion which was even a little creepy during the day time. Definitely a place we would recommend. Great day out with great friends :)

Camping!!!

So we have been wanting to go camping all summer with Bailee to just test it out with her, and the teacher Dave works with suggested a place about an hour from here so we just went with it and booked a trip this weekend! We only did one night which turned out to be perfect. We left Saturday morning and arrived there about 10:30 am which gave us the whole day to play! They had quite a few ameneties that we were able to enjoy and  it was very child friendly! Mini golf, playground, and ping pong were our favorites but they also had a water park, swimming pool, bocce ball, and arcade available. We had a great day and Bailee seemed so grown up on this trip! We may not return to this location though after a night of wreckless neighbors who kept waking up Bailee... but Saturday was so fun and we now feel confident to make a habit of taking our family camping :) Dave and I even had some time alone with a campfire, games, and treats which (if you know us well) is our ideal kind of date!

Slowly but surely I will blog again now that I have a faster way to do t!

We got home from a busy weekend of my moms birthday and conference and as I was unpacking tonight, Bailee discovered my reading glasses again...It seems that wherever I put the she manages to find them. I also discovered that one pair is bent now and I have a idea of the source, but I am grateful I can still use them!(Nothing is safe anymore :) instead of taking them and putting them back I decided to embrace the moment with her...

Canning

Well I have been terrible at blogging since Bailee began walking... I think those might have something to do with eachother :) We have also been pretty busy this summer and I have so many pictures and stories I don't know where to begin! I decided I must start with the most recent and when I get a chance I will go back. Dave and I canned our first batch of peaches from my grandparents tree! It turned out to be a success and I really enjoyed it. Bailee even helped....

She ran off with the peach and when I got to her, she had the pit in her mouth and half of the peach was already gone! She was loving it! (Also you can see in the background her new obsession is "the wiggles") We took it with us when we drove to Wyoming in July for the car and my awesome sister Jennah played it for her over and over and over and now she can't get enough of it!

And she walks!!

It has been so tough to get this on camera because whenever we pull it out, she drops to her knees and crawls to get the camera. I finally got her to do it for me and wanted to share :)

Hidden secret of Sacramento

When people think of Sacramento, their first thought is not usually a beautiful river that runs through it. We feel like we could not have picked a better place to live since we love to be outdoors! We are walking distance to the river and have loved having a bike path close as well. This past weekend we took Bailee to the river to experience the water since she has shown a love and lack of fear for any water since birth. We had also had a super busy week and needed a little family outing. The water was freezing to me but Dave took her in and she loved it!

Ready to get in!

By the end she got a little cold and made it apparent that she
was ready to be done :)

2 year anniversary

What a better way to celebrate our anniversary than in the house of the Lord. We took the opportunity to attend the temple to do the endowments and the sealing of my great-great-(possibly one more great) grandparents on my mom's side of the family. Doing their sealing was a great reminder for us of the covenants we made with one another exactly 2 years ago. We then went out to eat and only had to spend about $6 because of a gift card Dave was able to get from his bank. In the end we only spent about $15 total on our anniversary and it was a great couple of days together without excessive spending :)
